The boxing fireworks are here as the Kalakoda Promotions of Saul Loggenberg South Africa hosted the boxers’ weigh-in press conference in final prepations of the huge and wild Africa vs UK boxing tornament to be held tomorrow 13th of July at the Harare International Converntional Centre (HICC).
The momemt which Zimbabwe and everyone was waiting for has finally arrived as the boxers from both Team Africa and Team UK showcased their mascels at the HICC this aftrenoon (12th of July 2018) during the weigh-in conference by Kalakoda Promotion of Saul Loggenberg as a way of showing readiness and preparedness for tomorrow’s big event.
The main bout is going to be of Mapule Ngubane, a super welterweight boxing champion from Johannesberg Gauteng South Africa facing Stacey Copeland also a super welterweight champion from Hyde Lancashire UK, fighting for the Commonwealth Ladies Super Welterweight tittle.
Stacey 69,5 kg who was born 19 August 1981 is a well known sportswoman empowering a new generation of sportwoman in her region, was once an international football superstar before switching and becoming a European winning boxer.
The undisputed female boxing champion who is currently the captain of Team Africa , Mapule Ngubane 69,5 kg said during the weigh-in conference is very excited and grateful to Kalakoda and Saul to be specific for the event. She added that as team Africa they are certaintly ready for team UK whilst her opponent was saying to visit a great country like Zimbabwe is a top experience and is very grateful to Saul of Kalakoda promotions who made it possible.
The 36year old Stacey Copeland who once internationally played football for England under 18s, according to a fan on twitter is said to become the 1st British female to win a Commonwealth Boxing Council tittle only if she takes Mapule down tomorrow.
The WBF Super Welterweight Inter Contenental tittle fight is going to be of Emmany Kalombo alias The General , a DRC boxing champion facing a 69,6 kg Samuel Antwi from UK whilst Westley McDade, the White Lion 76,6 kg is going to give the boxing fans an exciting bout with 6 amazing and wild rounds against Mickey Ellison, a 77,2 kg from UK for the International Super middleweight challenge.
Finally Shot gun, a Zimbabwean 53,5kg undisputed champion real name Tapiwa Tembo is going to exchange fists with Marc Leach alias Live Wire, a bantan weight champion born 17 March 1994 in Salford Lancashire UK weighing 54,3 kg.
Saul Logernberg of Kalakoda Promotions who made guests introductions during the conference said is excited to be in Zimbabwe for such a big event and is grateful to all those who partnered for the big event.
